Friary Park update
Residents in LB Ealing are opposed to development of an area called Friary Park because buildings are excessively tall, contrary to borough planning policies, and are being sold off-plan in other countries. An earlier video on this was posted here.
It has now emerged that the developer has amended their plans, resulting in significant reduction in the provision of the number of social housing homes. A second video has been produced by local people with an appeal to their Council not to let it happen. The video is [more…]

A Cap The Towers victory at Friary Park
Campaigners in LB Ealing have opposed a tall and over powering development of many buildings on Friary Park. This video shows their persistence may be successful but ‘Who are these tower block homes meant for?’. There are issues about how Councils devise and uphold policies on context and building heights and identify where tall buildings should be, as in London Plan policies D1 and D9.
Review of Green Belt
News channel ONLONDON reported Sadiq Khan’s review of London Green Belt following the Government’s addition to the December NPPF of ‘grey belt’ land. The Mayor intervened in the public inquiry of LB Enfield’s Local Plan in a way that has implications for any borough with Green Belt land as in another ONLONDON article here.
