2007 AGM

The Annual General Meeting of the London Forum of Amenity and Civic Societies was held on 9 October 2007. Following the formal business Stephen Joseph, Executive Director of the Campaign for Better Transport (formerly Transport 2000) gave a talk, and took part in a discussion, on the importance of reducing the need to travel. Reducing the need to travel is government policy, but Transport 2000 and Londonforum faced surprising difficulty in trying to persuade the Mayor's Office to accept it as an objective at the Examination in Public of the Further Alterations to the London Plan.
