Towards the Mayor's Transport Strategy
The preparation of the Mayor's Transport Strategy is under way and at this open meeting Lucinder Turner of TfL who is leading on its development will explain the 'Emerging Direction'. The policies of TfL also cover the Mayor's aims for 'Healthy Streets', reduced air pollution and greater use of demand management in planning to handle growth.
There will be a presentation also on behalf of Living Streets by Jeremy Leach on 'Walking in a 21st Century Global City'.
The next open meeting on these subjects is scheduled for 26th June.

Controlling advertising in the public realm
An open event for London Forum's members will be arranged on Wednesday 10th May to cover and discuss the problems in the public realm of advertising.

The Mayor's Transport Strategy

In preparation for the a replacement London Plan, the Mayor is publishing a new Transport Strategy. Lucinda Turner and/or Mike Keegan of Transport for London will explain the strategy and discuss it with those present. Societies are invited to send a representative and to examine the papers from a conference on transport which was held on 9th November 2016. This event had been planned for 29th March but the GLA has announced a delay in publishing the Mayor's Transport Strategy.
